Backstabbing | Mirage • 2/22/24
There’s nothing worse than when someone listens to you, Feigns care, Only to backstab you with all of the pieces Of your heart you gave them, Leaving only shattered shards of Your own delicate heart in the palms of your hand… The edges cutting you… Blood at your feet • I Miss Your Mirage I see it every now and then …in passing… My memory reconstructing/reconfiguring itself Reworking my perception of you Things always look prettier in the waters’ reflection than the view itself The illusion of distance… • Everytime I think of you Everytime memories spawn of you I feel a pang deep within me I cannot stomach the thought of you.
